According to a research, Google Pixel launched in 2024 without increasing smartphone sales.

Over the years, Google Pixel sales have increased, but it appears that the company may be coming to a standstill as smartphone shipments from Google appear to have decreased between Q1 2024 and the end of 2023.

Google Pixel shipments in the first quarter of 2024 were estimated by Canalys to be about 2 million devices, as reported by GizChina. It is essentially the same as Q1 2023, but in comparison to Q4 2023—which was already down 4% from the previous year—Google experienced a decrease in shipments of about one million devices. There has been some decline, but nothing very significant.

All of this is predicated on chipsets, with Tensor being categorized into a separate group that also happens to be the smallest. Huawei Tensor has been surpassed by me, shipping eight million units in the same amount of time.

For Pixel, what does that mean? Probably not much to be concerned about. Even while shipments have somewhat decreased overall, Google is witnessing steady growth overall. With its rapid rise in popularity in Japan, Pixel now holds a 3% share of the smartphone market in North America and is expected to reach a milestone of 10 million sales by 2023.

Additionally, Google's revenue from these chips has increased by 36% year over year, according to the same Canalys analysis.
